I propose to fit a Fiamma Pro C cycle carrier to my Chausson 718 XLB. Has anyone attempted to fit their own.....it has a height adjustable bed with quite restricted access to fit the bottom rail am I taking on a potential “nightmare” ?
Any advice please?
Has the motorhome already got the bars fitted on the outside rear? Also does it have the covers inside the van? If the bars are already fitted it should be a fairly simple operation to fit, although that does mean drilling and you will need sealant. You need to measure the fitting places to establish the rack you need, they are not all the same. I have found AgentFiamma very helpful with advice as to which rack to use.
Hi David it has the top rail fitted already, I need to drill and install the lower rail, (which I believe comes with the carrier) my potential issue could be the access internally to fix the brackets as there is a height adjustable bed on the rear wall
Cheers David
Good luck. Do it wrong and you’ll have damp problems.
But if the top section is already fitted correctly, I’d hope the lower section would line up.
It’s something I’d only do with a dealer but I appreciate that some prefer to DIY.
