I have just swiched to a motothome after many years with a tourer, to fill the water it has a whale pump which fits in an aquaroll , is there a fitting so I dont need to use the pump and fill directly with a hosepipe

I’ve got the same on my crusader superstorm tourer. Got sick of filling on board tank from the aqua roll so went on eBay and bought a fitting to screw into the tank. Connected this to a length of hose to front of caravan and put a male hozelock fitting on. Now I just run a hose from site tap to caravan and fill each morning till water comes out the overflow... easy as put a hozelock stop fitting on the end of the hose pipe - so just disconnect hose, no need to switch off tap 😃

Is it by any chance a Bailey motorhome? I had the same system on my first motorhome and have to say it has its advantages as well as its disadvantages. If staying of site for a few days its easier to use the aquaroll than having to go back and forward to a service point but then you have the carry the aquaroll around with you! Mine came with a 7.5 metre hose that fitted into the same place as the aquaroll pump so you could fill it both by hose and pump.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Whale-Aquasource-Caravan-Mains-Connection/dp/B01DCA0CI4

BOB
If (IF?) the water tank is in inboard(as oppossed to underslung),and it is straight forward enough to get at(eg. by just lifting a seat base etc?),I wonder whether you'd be okay with directly filling it?

It may not be ideal, but it could be another option? and one that wouldn't need anything major *altering on the van?
(*I have read on forums, that some folk who have such systems, have retro-fitted a conventional filler point to their vans).
