We moved to a motorhome five years ago after caravans for 30 years. We always had awnings as part of our set up finally ending up with a 22 foot Isabella on a twin axel bailey. So obviously we purchased an outdoor revolution drive away awning to go with the motorhome, particularly as we had four dogs resulting in lots of wet towels. One year in, we came to an amazing conclusion. We didn't need an awning, more than that we realised we hadn't really needed one in the past. They were in reality just places to fill with lots of stuff that we really didn't need either. Five years on the awning gets used once a year when we have a regular two weeks in the Lakes, which is close enough for us to take a second car so the motorhome never moves. Drying is carried out relatively quickly by placing coats, towels etc on a clothes rack in the shower space with a fan heater. This system has worked well for us for over 25 years since we first got a van with a proper shower in it. When touring we appreciate arriving and being ready to chill with brew or wine in less than fifteen minutes. If you still wanted an awninng its a pity you are down south as I have a hardly used Outdoor revolution Oxygene 3xl for sale hardly used going cheap. Whatever enjoy your motorhome and find your own best way to use it.
