hello Guys,
I am purchasing a Renault Trafic conversion from Van to campervan and wondered who would be the best to get an Insurance Price from?
The van is obviousy being modified - but on the V5 it still says its a VAN, but one insurance company said any modifications I need to inform them about - even if you added shelves to a bare vehicle!! - I thought this would be quite easy !!

I got a quote from Safeguard, recommended by the company that is carrying out the conversion on my van.

They are known to them as a professional converter, and I got 12 months cover for the price of 10 due to their referral.

They did not ask about the V5.

So far Safeguard's quote is the best I could find, and am likely to go with them when the van is ready towards the end of February 2021.

I obtained my initial quotes online, and it was worth doing first before I tried obtaining other quotes from Compare The Market.

I had to ring them later as I needed cover for business use and they needed more information before they can provide me with a firm quote.

However only 5000 miles 🤷‍♂️ I said I was hoping to do more, and they said to give them a call if it was looking to exceed this

Mine costs more due to the age of the van, residual value, and the need to cover for business use. However, still good value as it includes UK and EU breakdown.
