I know what you mean.
Been there done that with my beloved MINI Cooper. I ran her to the ground and did over 200k+ miles in over 14 years, spending a lot of money to keep her going for way too long.
When she was collected to be scraped, I did cry as it was the end of an era. I had many fond memories with her, and was her only owner.
I promised myself I would not name another vehicle after that, however, that did not last long when I got my van.
