Newbie motorhomers trying to decide between a Chausson 6mtr vs 7 mtr. We were very surprised with the layout of the 514 small but a great space and lovely size fixed transverse bed with drop down single. Only 3 of us so perfect. However we also like a 7 mtr model with twin beds that convert to a double. I have come across forums on which people say that don’t like these as the can be short in length. Any experience of either ? We want the motorhome for holiday in Europe as well as short trips exploring in the UK. The shorter model is great for the UK while the larger model would be great for Europe. We are leaning toward the 514 but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

As you say a smaller motorhome is convenient if going out and about, not only in the UK. However you do have to live in it! A 6 metre van for three people could be a bit tight unless you are sure you can spend a fair amount of time outside the van.

Hi we have the Chausson flash 6, fixed double at the back pull down small double and the dining area is a small double too.
The bathroom is compact but that’s ok as we never use the shower. The kitchen area is compact but the large fridge and freezer works well. There is a small oven grill above the fridge freezer we never use it.
We tend to cook in the awning as I have a ninja, we have an air awning.
The dining table is large and it extends .
If you do hope to go to France in yours you will probably cook in the awning anyway or barbecue .We have two small dogs too.
It’s a great Motorhome ours is a 2010 we have had it for 4 years now .
