I'm new here and just joined because i am lost when it comes to all this wiring solar panel stuff.

I bought 2x 100w solar panels by looking around online it's seems the thinker the cable the safer it is, so some say to go for 4mm cable from MTTP solar controller to solar panels and from MTTP controller to 110ah leisure battery so i have learned that part.

So the part I'm stuck on is that people say for safety is to put a breaker switch between the solar panels and the MTTP controller but don't know what Amps it should be for a 4mm cable.

The other part is people say to put a Circuit Breaker Fuse between the MTTP controller and leisure battery but again i don't know what size fuse to buy for the 6mm cable.

I really would be grateful if someone could tell me those 2 fuse things i'm stuck on as this is my first motorhome and as i said i know cable sizes and fuses and just want to make sure i'm doing it right as don't want to anything wrong as i will have my 4 kids with me.

Will the solar controller charge the main motorhome battery say at night while not driving and is it ok that the motorhome alternator charges the both batteries while driving as the solar panels will be charging as well, i just don't want the battery to over charge with both charging or will the solar controller stop charging when battery is full?

Please let me know if any of the items are wrong or if i need anything else that's missing to make a safe setup for my family. Thanks again
