We are new to motorhomes, we have a Rapido le randonneur 941m, it has a channel on both sides, which I thought might be awning rails, but now don't think it is, does anyone know what it is?

Would you please let us know are these rails part of original equipment on the van. Or maybe added after manufacture?
I am sure you will get help if you could post a picture of the rails (as they are and what they look like) on the van.
