Been happily using my Toyota Hiace Regius campervan every weekend since i bought it in Many this year. Unfortunately, i did have to replace a roof strut, with great difficulty, but the roof has been going up and down nicely until yesterday! When pulling down roof from inside the tie straps and brackets were totally offset, by an inch, and then noticed the canvas and roof slightly leaning towards the side with the newly fitted strut.
I know the gas struts are supposed to be replaced in pairs, so assume that whilst roof operated fine for 4 months, the pressure on the old one has diminished and thus uneven support of the roof?
Apart from the gas strut is there anything else that would cause this and may be more of a concern/expense as the replacement strut was only £70 for a pair.
Many thanks
