I have never towed a car on A frame behind a motorhome, but I have towed a vehicle with an A frame behind my Land Rover a few times. I assume you have B+E categories on your licence, so firstly, what is the max towing capacity of your motorhome? Is the car and A frame within that limit? Is the motorhome and towed car within your motorhome's gross train limit? Assuming that all the weight limits are fine what is the maximum weight of the towed car? If it is over 750kg you will need to ensure that the car's brakes are activated when the motorhome brakes. Legally speaking there is no difference between a car being towed with an A frame and any other types of trailer, it must comply with all the same lighting and braking regulations. The only exception is if it is a broken down vehicle being recovered with another diver operating the controls.
The pros and cons are quite simple, you won't have to move your motorhome from your pitch everytime you want to drive somewhere, a car is easier to park than a motorhome, and also generally cheaper to drive. In opposition to that, your motorhome will use more fuel when towing, it will probably have to stick to lower speed limits and it will be less easy to drive and manoeuvre on smaller lanes.
Edit: Just checked C&U regs again and if any trailer, regardless of weight, is fitted with brakes then the braking system must be operational. So no matter what the MGW of the towed car, the brakes must work when towed.
