I think, your best bet is to let everyone on here know which model of Granvia you have. I have, as you said above looked at pictures and the back end of Granvia's do have different profiles, as do the bike racks.
There is another way to get bikes aboard, if you have a tow ball. You will see what I mean if you have another look. Best of luck with this.

Thank you very much for going to the trouble of responding, and my apologies for taking so long to get back to this!
(I don't spend that much time on forums anymore and as it didn't appear to be getting any responses, I had forgotten that I had posted it!? )
Actual bike-wise, it would probably only ever get occasionally used to take a couple of the grandkids bikes but in the main it would be used to lash/strap lightweight "camping clobber" to (possibly using one of the Fiamma "bags"?)
We have toyed with the idea of one of those towbar mounted platforms, and just attach that when we are going away?(we do already have a towbar)But we don't want it to make access to the tailgate awkard?..
I would like to manage without anything "extra"...experience of having several, and varied types of vans over the years, has shown that,if we're given "stoarge room" we will just end up taking stuff "just in case", stuff that rarely, if ever, gets used..
