Needed as an ingredient for Adblue, and not currently processed anywhere in the UK, so imports are needed, hence the more recent price hikes, and the lower costs on the continent.

Just been at my local VW dealer and asked how much for 10ltr, last year it was about £13, now £30 .
That is the dearest I have found.

Never seen pumps at any local filling stations.

Did get some at Morrisons, thanks to Mucker.

Might have to do away with some of the wine and bring some back from France.
On second thoughts, what a really stupid idea.

AdBlu has been rather a pain for us with major issues involving leaks and requiring a replacement pump on one car however, whilst we get a warning that it needs topping up, and the minimum amount, that’s it-there is no gauge and no way, till the warning pops up, that you can tell you may need to top up.

Allan, I don't think any vehicle has an actual gauge. I believe they all work on the warning system.

My vehicles, and all my workmates vehicles, all have the warning system. This is across a broad range of vehicle manufacturers.

Our Kia Sorento (2018) shows the AdBlue level as a line across a column, not an actual quantity, on the same scroll through digital display that shows average mpg, journey distance, average speed etc. Useful to be able to top it up before a major trip away.
