I will use all sorts, probably to the disgust of others. WD40, White Spirit, Petrol, Lighter fluid, Shop bought products. It can be the very devil to get rid of. Paint renovator can work too. Just add a bit of polish after getting rid of the sticky stuff.

Either : White spirit, Surgical spirit or nail varnish remover. Just depends what the 'glue' is. Have to try it and see what works.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.

I wouldn't use Nail Varnish Remover, it's generally Acetone and/or other equally strong solvents which can be VERY aggressive and damaging to many paints and plastics!
WD40, or Tar Spot Remover (car cleaning product) also work.
Usually takes successive cleans to remove entirely, as 'sticky' gets thinner and spreads around with first efforts.

Pure orange or lemon juice works quite well, or white vinegar.

Mr Sheen contains silicon, as does WD40. Hence the reason they are both suitable.
