Hi
We are converting a white van into a camper, with professional help for the gas, electrics - the important things that could be a hazard.
When we book into a campsite, do we have to let them know it's a conversion, or can we just book in as a camper van?
And - what's the difference between camper or motorhome? Would it be size, as its a LWB van?
If it us fully converted then shouldn't need to mention it to a site, although some nice decals on the sides make it look more like a camper/motorhome!
I don't know of any set definition or camperva or motorhome, although it seems that people refer to converted vans as campervans and something coachbuilt as a motorhome even when the same size!
When I book a site, I select "Motorhome" as she has onboard facilities such as a kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet, and is just under 6m long that does not qualify as a "small campervan" like a T5/T6.

Thank you. We will be adding decals etc, and we should fit the DVLA requirements although I heard they can be difficult about changing status.
I have not got round to changing the status of my van as I am not convinced if the effort is worth it.
