Just purchased a 2009 Ducato Moncayo and was wondering where i could get hold of an instruction manual. Need to know how the bench seats convert into a double bed and the cushion layout to suit.

Just wondering how you got on with some of the other things you queried, it's always good to get topic feedback.

It'll be a Moncayo motorhome.

The chassis is a Ducato, lots of motorhomes have a Ducato base but the motorhome itself is nothing to do with Fiat, it could just as easily have been a Peugeot, Citroen, Mercedes or Ford for instance. Motorhomes are usually referred to by their converters name, not the chassis, mine is a Bailey Autograph, the chassis is by Peugeot but I'd never refer to it as a Peugeot Bailey. They also make motorhomes based upon the Ford chassis but it wouldn't be referred to as a Ford Bailey. Incidentally, current Ducatos are built on the Serval line which also builds Citroens and Peugeots on the same line, they look identical just the individual spec varies.

The chassis is important when you've got issues with that (such as starting etc).

If you want to find details of your motorhome you may have more success Googling Moncayo and the model type such as Moncayo Mediterraneo, Halcon or Silver for instance. Good luck with your search.

We’ve had bench seats / double bed in 2 MHs.
In the older one (1993 Autosleeper Clubman) one bench had a locking clip underneath the wooden bar along the edge; you had to push down the clip to release it while at the same time pulling out the bench until it stops. It was a bit awkward. The opposite bench just pulled out to meet the first one. We had to put the (shaped) back rests into the front well, they weren’t needed for the bed, but yours may be. If not, there should be square cushions somewhere to go down the middle. (A simple mattress topper helps cover the joins.) You may also have arm rest type cushions, but they’re for if you’re making two single beds lengthwise, to bridge the gap with the front seats. We left those at home.
There were NO instructions in the original handbook!
It’s easier in the 2018 Autosleeper- the benches are on gas struts, you unclip the back cushions so they can drop & lift the bench a bit (it will stay up fully on its own) to pull it forward. Cushion placement is obvious, we just have to get rid of the “cosmetic” cushions in the front well.
Your MH may be a mix of the two, hopefully not with the awkward clip but may not have the gas struts.
Hope that helps, until someone with exactly your model comes in & says something totally different! In short, it’s not rocket science but you may have hunt under & behind things.

In addition to Fiona's advice, some motorhomes make use of the dining table to form the base of the bed.

Our current motorhome handbook is the first to have a diagram of how to make the bed up, but it's often a case of trial and error, once we sussed out the layout on our previous motorhome I numbered the cushion labels and drew a map which I slipped into the manual.
