Hi,
Just for information for Elddis owners, had trouble with my Omni step, worked on the door switch but not when turning on ignition.
After e mailing Elddis they told me where the fuse was but not the relay. When I asked the location of the relay I was told to seek out an Elddis dealer.
Well for anyone who experiences this problem the fuse and relay are in the D post next to the driver.
Stay safe and have a Happy Christmas all.
Our Omni step is intermittently faulty, behaves for weeks then has to be kick started. It’s a cog problem (mechanical) rather than electrical. The hab service mechanic said the cog teeth are notorious for breaking off. Dealer suggested replacing the whole step for the bargain price of £500. Hmmm.
Previous threads on these steps were very helpful & gave me the confidence that we can replace the cog ourselves.
Let us know how you get on with replacing the relay.
The earlier models had a cog which was as soft as butter. Mine went on my Elddis (2016) motorhome
I purchased a cog set (cog, retaining clip etc) from one of the normal motorhome outlets. The set also includes fitting instructions and there is also a useful guide on utube.
Fitting was quite straightforward
I contacted Omni and they sent me a replacement cog set as well.
