Hi .I have an old 2002 Avantgarde 400 Rl MH , and when I use the mixer tap there is a leak somewhere which I can see the water dripping down outside ,I have looked inside the vents outside but cannot gain access to the taps that way ,and cannot remove sink as it is flanged under the worktop ,it is looking like the fridge needs to be removed? has anyone come across this problem before that has any advice on this please

Could it be the cartridge inside the tap leaking. You can access this by removing the top of the tap , there are lots of you tube videos how to do it. The cartridges are available on ebay for about a fiver.

Could you use your phone to video the problem from inside the vent, then watch the video to see where the water is comming from.

Hi Paul ,cant send pics at the moment but when i take vent out the water is coming out of a hole where a grey and red pipe comes out then runs down thode pipes then drips down and luckily outside at the bottom .

It could be the cartridge thats the problem or a washer that worn

Thank you so much Paul_B that was really helpful ,i see they seem to come in a couple of sizes 35 and 45 mm I am guessing the 35 one is for maybe 15mm pipe and the 45 mm for maybe 22mm ?

update on the leak problem , I have changed the cartridge but not that ,someone suggested taking the plate out in the top outside fridge vent ,but I will have to bend it about quite a bit then tape it back up afterwards ,or remove the fridge completely ?has anyone got any thoughts on this please

In the long run it may be cheaper to get an AWS technician in to resolve the issue instead of trying various things which cost you money and still may not resolve the issue?

I did similar on my Autotrail Cheyenne. The plate will bend to allow access to the tap. It will probably be stapled and silicone. Fiddly job but can be done
