Just putting out feelers: what sort of selling price would you expect a second-hand (1 owner, 3.000 miles) Elldis Autoquest Sunseeker CV60 2021 to fetch? Good condition bar scratch on the front wing and faulty alarm system.

Are you selling? buying? privately or dealer cos it makes a big difference, you also have to take into account the scratch and the alarm which should still be under warranty, I would have thought. Also the make is spelt Elddis not Elldis,if you are selling it make sure you spell everything correctly as it helps buyers to look it up.

Yes, realised the spelling mistake - trying to do a thousand things at once. We’re considering selling ; already have a quote from one dealer and will be get several others to compare. The point of this post is to put oit feelers to gauge whether the private or dealer route is the one to go down.

If we were buying a high value item, we would prefer to buy from a dealer as at least you get a warranty with the goods. Also a lot depends if it has been serviced regularly and on time as then the warranty can be transferred from current owner to new owner.

We part X’d our previous (much older) MH because we don’t want tyre kickers at the house or hassle with a buyer coming back saying they’d found [?] and we hadn’t declared [?] in the description. But you’ll probably get less because a dealer has to make a profit when they sell it on.
As an aside, having kept an eye on our local dealer’s prices, you may get more than you paid for it.

A lot of people use motorhome depot, they act as a broker for your van but you keep it and show people around.

I imagine there must be a Facebook group either for your model or at the very least for Elddis motorhomes? These groups usually have buying and selling groups attached and they are a good place to test the market. Selling via a dealer is the easiest way of doing things but often not the most cost effective way as they have to add their mark-up to what ever they offer you. Some dealers will sell on a brokerage basis which might mean a better return although you would have to wait until the unit is sold before you get your money. If getting the money is not urgent you are likely to get more this way than just selling it to a dealer. Many people sell privately but that can be hard work and you have to control the financial side very carefully.
