Hi,
I have just been inspecting my 2001 toyota hiace gs powervan and have found that one of the drive belts may be missing. I only have basic knowledge so sorry if i use the wrong terms. It looks like it is supposed to have 2 drive belts but a part of the fly wheel has broken so it now only has 1 belt. It looks like its been broken for some time, possibly before we bought it. My question is, is it supposed to have 2 or is the other one for the upgraded versions with aircon etc? the powersteering works, the fan works and i have had no problems with the alternator either. But i wondered if i would have a bit more pulling power up hills if i had 2 belts? and is it risky driving it with just one belt?
