Hi all
We are expecting to take delivery of our new Adria Matrix Supreme on a Mercedes with Alko chassis, beginning of September. We will be getting a Tow a Frame fitted to the small car we have to tow behind the Motorhome.
When we collect the Motorhome we are having self levelling fitted and was also going to have a semi air suspension system fitted to the rear to help with reducing body roll and make a smoother drive.
We had a quote for a VB fully automatic semi air suspension which effectively is replacing the whole rear end system for about 6k , we have also had a quote for the Alko semi rear air system which is replacing the rear shock absorbers and fitting a bellow system , with pressure gauges to alter the pressure for about 3k.
Obviously the fully auto VB system would be more convenient being fully automatic , but would I notice any major difference in the ride and stability for the extra 3k?
Would really appreciate any feedback or Advice from anyone with these systems ?
Thanks
If you are buying the vehicle new, then surely it should have been ordered with the modifications already carried out in order to preserve the warranty and to avoid any confusion of responsibility in the event of faults arising.
You cannot order from the manufacturer with the modifications indicated.
They are however fitted by approved specialist fitters as recommended by our dealer and approved fitters of VB Air suspension , which is approved by Mercedes or the Alko own system , fitted by Alko approved fitters.
I presume they are not offered as options by the factory because of cost or be use they are specialist fit?
