Phone call from hubby. - newly arrived at Welsh campsite after long, wet drive to discover that the Whale Duo heating system in our Elddis CV60 isn’t working properly. The water heating system is working fine, but the heating system not. It’s showing the gas symbol with an ! Underneath.

Pressing the heating button as described in fault diagnosis, the first is highlighted. Flues ok. Pressing lockout/power off etc also not helping .

Any ideas of anything he can try. Or just wait to contact dealer on Mon?\\

Anybody??

Update - Electricity to the leisure battery seems to be working via the EHU at least now , but going down when unplugged.

The control panel isn’t working at all now . Gas not working .


Anybody here have any advice on how to do a hard reset of the control panel?

What does the handbook say? Have you looked on Google, there are issues listed there although may not be for your particular system.

Sorry can’t help, as our MH has a different system. We do have to sit down with the handbook now & then, despite 5 years ownership.

Thanks all. Yes, he’s had a look at the handbook, no luck so far. Electricity to battery now when plugged into the EHU, so looks likely the fault lies in the van, not the supply on site. He’ll contact Whale and the dealer tomorrow. I’ve googled and sent a couple of ideas over to him.

Let’s hope the fault turns out not to be something major.
