Hi all,
We had a frustrating weekend with our new Vango Magra awning not fitting the Fiamma cassette on our campervan...! The channel was too small, so no awning.
Having researched this it seems to be the case that Fiamma channels are 3-5mm but Vango awnings have a 6mm kador strip. Naively it never even occurred to me that there would be different sizes - we were just told a channel is a channel, end of story...!
So, we now need to figure out what to do - is there such a thing as a 'converter' kador strip that consists of a 3mm kador that slides into the Fiamma channel, and a 6mm channel ready for the awning?
The main issue is that the Fiamma cassette is quite bulky of course, and sits higher than a fitted channel would sit (see photos), so I'm worried it is an either/or situation and we can't use an awning with the van if we have the Fiamma....there is no room to fix it underneath the Fiamma cassette.
We often use the van for small visits where the canopy is enough; I'd be loathe to part with it, but I really want use of more space when we camp for longer periods of time!
Any knowledge out there on what our options are??
Thank you in advance!
