Welcome to UKCS.
Plenty online, new & Ebay - Thule, Fiamma etc.
I suggest you don’t load anything heavier than a couple of bikes equivalent weight, or your steering might feel a bit light; and don’t exceed the weight limit for your vehicle. Think about how it attaches or fixes too: a friend can’t open the back door with her box fitted, that might not matter to you.
thanks for that really want a box just to fit sun chairs and small bbq etc....suppose we'll need to get some sort of bike rack as well...id prefer to see some as well before deciding as I'd like both my doors to open
I fitted a Fiamma Ultra Box onto the bike rack on my Bailey Motorhome. You can have a look here to see what is involved, just scroll down a bit. http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/bailey_alliance_662.html Also on the same page is how you fix the bike rack. From memory the Ultra Box has a weight capacity of 35 kgs.
I had a Fiamma box on the back of one of my previous vans and said when I bought it I’d sell the box on, but it was brilliant!!! I had table, chairs, wheel chocks, hookup lead, all sorts of stuff for outside in there, oh and the gas bbq, campingaz one…..really good. I also had their soft carrier, not as useful but a lot cheaper and still very useful, it fitted onto the bike rack frame that was on there.
yes we had a fiamma box on our 6 berth on a bike rack...but we now have a campervan...so need one which will enable us to still see through back door windows and fully open back doors when parked up.
