Are you thinking of the Kampa-Dometic Limpet type suction cups that are used to seal awning walls to Caravan/MH sides?

Like these: https://www.campingworld.co.uk/en/gb/Dometic-Limpet-Fix-System/m-19067.aspx Available from other outlets. I've bought unbranded but otherwise identical ones off eBay at somewhat more resonable prices than the branded ones!

If so, I've used them with my awning, and a few tips about them for that use, never tried them with a windbreak, but see little difference.

*Caravan/MH panel needs to be clean and dry, leave it dirty and you risk scratches in paintwork and poor adhesion (suction leaks/fails and they drop off).
*DO NOT place cup over vinyl graphics, you risk discolouration of vinyl AND/OR lifting of vinyl from panel as adhesive fails under the suction load, neither damage is reversible!
*They cannot be used on any panel that is texture, ribbed etc., only on smooth polished surfaces, even part overlapping a vinyl graphic will likely cause failed adhesion. A gently curved surface should be OK, a tight curve ('corner') won't work.
*DO NOT over tighten the screw clamp, they require very little 'tightening' to be effective, and break VERY easily if a bit over enthusiastic! They only require the development of a little suction, NOT for the screw to be tightened to end of thread and a hard stop!
*I've had a few break when the wind has got up and put load on the awning wall - they are not terribly robust TBH!

Otherwise, they've been successful on my awning.

From what I have seen on site, the need to attach it (or not) varies with the type of windbreak. What type do you have?
The ones with a rigid frame seem to stand alone, and I’ve seen an airbeam one that was also freestanding. We just tied our more bendy Vango one to a bumper, wing mirror or rear ladder, but it was not dog proof. Some people use the windbreak to enclose an area instead of keeping a dog on a lead outside.

2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.
