Thinking aloud, and I hope the experts like saxo will come and offer his advice soon!
Assuming you can only hook up to one of the EHU sockets on a post, I would hook that up to an EHU lead with multiple sockets, so that you can run off a fan heater and other electrical appliances, including the van.
I am assuming there is no big heating elements such as an electric kettle/oven/cooker/induction hob in the van, just a fridge/freezer and lighting, and is protected by its own RCD unit.
This is what I would get and do if I were to start afresh.
Get one of these to hook up to the site EHU supply and keep the roller part inside the tent:
Get one of these to hook up the van from the roller unit using the 3-pin plug and one of the 3-pin sockets on the roller unit:
Alternatively, use a combination of these two to hook up the roller unit to your van (this is what I use to hook up my van to the external socket in my garden while she is parked outside the house):
