Hi. After having a French bed in a caravan we’ve decided we’d prefer 2 single beds in a motorhome.
I’m looking around the £25,000 mark so I think that’s going to get me something between 2004-2010.
Can anyone advise which models would be available. I’m open to anything really
You might be looking at models with bench seats facing each other (dining table between): Autosleeper has these. A-S Bourbon model is long enough for single beds along the vehicle, Nuevo has bench facing bench but singles are a faff because you have to incorporate the front seats rotated. (It’s a huge double across the van.)
Adria has models with rear single beds above a garage, a separate dining area: vehicle is much longer & I don’t know if there are models around that are old enough to be that cheap.
There’ll be other makes, I can’t speak about those.
I’d suggest you get to a dealer & look around, get an idea of what that budget will get you.
There will be plenty of options and comes down to whether you want beds in a shared area or an actual bedroom.
If shared a rear lounge may be a better option as long as the benches are deep enough.. alternatively look for a three berth where one bed is made up of the third passenger seat and goes across the vehicle behind the front seats.
A fixed bedroom vehicle will generally be longer.
I'd search Autotrader Motorhomes to get ideas of what is out there. The 2008 Knaus Vanti 600 for £24,700 looks to tick your boxes.
We have a 2019 Bailey Alliance 66-2 with two long settees which convert to single berths (or a double should you wish) The berths are 2.6 foot wide. I don't think the Alliance will meet your price requirements but it might be worth looking for some of the earlier models in the range which were called the Approach Advance the same layout but called the 636.
