Does anyone belong to Brit Stops? Is it worth joining?

My understanding is that it’s an app now (I may be wrong), I’m guessing you have to pay for it as you did for the book. Takes about 4 nights at CL or CS rates to pay back the membership fee. Wait until February? I think it’s annual.
Friends use theirs a lot, most months they go somewhere a few hours drive away for a good evening meal & stay over. But we joined it & never used it because we needed somewhere that allowed a dog, had a toilet & preferably a hookup: never got all 3 at the right time & place.
There are many free apps, but with that one you pay to see all the locations, about half are free to access. I’ve dipped into it & also checked some places in passing, many are a lay-by or pull-in, and several were directly in front of an official site (a bit cheeky!) & some reviews state that MHs are too close for privacy & safety. Would do for an emergency eg dangerous weather for driving. At least with Britstops, the site entry stipulates the maximum number of vehicles & it'll be away from the road; hotels, pubs, canals, even a vineyard, I think. Not so many in Scotland.
In short, like joining CCC or CAMC, try it for a year & then decide whether or not to renew.
------------- 2025=3 sites, 5 nights; 2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

No book now, all done via app.
It is updated on a regular basis now, as opposed to waiting for a book which when published was out of date.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Thanks both.
We've just bought a Caddy with a boot jump/toilet facility and thinking Brit Stop might be worth a try when not staying on a camp site. Emailing them to see if our 'set up' is acceptable.

We joined for a year, used it once for a pub stop when going north, not bothered renewing as a lot of the places in the book are also recommended on various facebook groups - you'd be best looking on there if you are able.
I know there's the farm shop/vineyard places that you'd probably miss, but a Google map search on a route may show one nearby and I'd be tempted to ring and ask if OK to stop if you partake of their facilities, seems to be common way forward.
All app based now.
