Help, Can see that someone else is having trouble arranging the cushions to form a double bed in another model of van.  So are we, tried following the directions but when it mentions putting the back rest down the middle of the seats, what holds it up?  It continually falls down and we end up cross and taking the advice of another camper, open a bottle of plonk and forget it!

Don't know about the Symphony, but on our Flair you put the two tables between the seats and then but the back rest on top of the tables (together with two small cushions). There is also a folding wooden support that fits between the cab seats over the gear stick/handbrake. Maybe the Symphony is the same?

Ed.

Thanks for reply, we don't put a table between the two side beds, we have a set of struts which looks like a ladder and the long back rest cushion fits on top of that. So far so good.  The tricky bit is deciding which cushions fit into the gaps that are left and the instructions mention putting the back rest which has a wooden support behind it in between the seats but it doesn't seem to rest on anything and falls through!

Do you have the instruction book Sandy?  If not try the Autosleepers Owners club as they can usually get you such booklets (I think you hire them to photocopy)  Autosleepers themsleves are extremely helpful about their vans.

If it helps we sleep across the van so we don't need to use the infill cushions at all Thank goodness as they take up lots of room.  Our infills live on the spare bed.  Some of Autosleeper vans need lots of adjusting of the front seats so the infills are supported on them.

Thank you so much for your reply, will try them.  Not able to sleep diagonally as my husband is 6' 2" - think we need to win the lottery to buy a much larger van.  My next thought is to buy an awning so he can sleep out there!  ha ha
