You can buy them new at the Romahome centre in Southampton Romahome awnings. We have one of these on our Romahome and they are very good, they cost £450 new though. You can sometimes pick up secondhand ones. Try Romaclub and click on the small ads. Hope that helps, best of luck.
Hi,
I have an awning for C15 Hytop for sale, complete with inner toilet compartment and full set of curtains in excellant condition. It is made by Harrison's for the Romahome, the awning is the lightweight nylon? meaning it is not the canvas one.
My husband has recently died, and there is no way I can put the awning up by myself,( my vehicle is a 1989 G reg.) and it fits perfectly.
Thank you Joan, I am vry sorry to hear of your loss being the reason for selling the awning. I am not able to make a decision about this at present as I am considering exchanging my van. Also, I do not really want an inner toilet compartment: is it possible to use the awning without it (and therefore increase the space available)? Thank you.
Thanks too to Graham & floppy - as you'll see from my reply to Joan, am holding off for the moment as not quite sure what I'm doing with the van itself.
Hi Lunnie. am looking for an awning to fit my elderly hondacty romahome. sad to know the reason for you selling, if you are willing to post please let me know. Will pay ure price
Sorry it is no longer for sale, I actually found it easier to put up myself than the Movelite which I purchased to replace it, I used it at the National and managed to do it by myself in taking it down, and was offered help putting up, I surprised myself.
I have a Romahome C15 Hitop and have bought an Outdoor Revolution Movelite (available on this site)
Found it ideal on holiday easy and quick to put up. it is not very heavy and we liked the fact that we could open up anyside we wanted depending on which was best on each site we were on.
I also liked the fact that I did not have curtains, I could roll up the window cover and give lots of light but could also roll them down and keep all in the awning out of sight.
There are plus and minus for both the Harrison Romahome driveaway and the Outdoor Revolution Movelite with the additional bedpod.
I personally cannot bend the pole sufficiently on the movelite to fit the ring pin, arthitius in hands etc, but I did manage to my surprise the Harrison Awning, which is heavier, and in two bags as opposed to onem, but I have no problem with lifting so that is no problem, the advantage of the Movelite is that you have 3 openings whereas the Harrison awning you only have 1, so I have both and shall keep depending on whether I travel on my own or with family to help. both are driveaways, I also have a Utility tent, and a Day tent so I have many options.
LunnieI am happy that you do not need to sell your awning, it is nice to surprise yourself and achieve something you felt you could not do isn't it. I may go for the one recommenned by Flops and seconded by Cas. I just need a quick easy awning to accomodate a baby grandaughter and associated gear. Thank u all for advice.
