Hi Omega,
I think we all have to do these little jobs and finishing touches before our vans suit us perfectly and feel like home. We have just about got all the bits and bobs and extra electric and tv sockets sorted now and our Winnie is just how we want her. Just cannot wait now to get away again in her and for all these holiday makers to dissappear! We have a safari room/awning and used it for the first time a few weeks ago and it certainly gives you a lot more room doesn't it? It's like having a little canvas conservatory extension I thought! We will only use it when we are going to be static for a few days or if we come to a meet - but it will be useful to have, especially if we bring our little grandaughter along with us or any other family members.
Anyway, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your first time out in (don't know her name yet lol) and I am sure that this will be the first of many happy times to come.
What made you change over from your tourer to a campervan Omega - I would be interested to know?
Happy touring.
Sue
