someone mentioned that it is cheaper to buy 2nd hand motorhome from belgium. as we are looking for left hand drive anyway this is not an issue for us. does anyone know of any dealers over there? or have any recommendations?

we are told that buying new is better from holland and/or germany. is this definitely the case? thanks in advance

If you put popular continental makes of motorhome into Google- Hymer Burstner Rapido etc you will find their factory websites, on there will be links to the various countries(ie Belguim) distributors websites from there you will find links to dealers-a well known Belgium dealer who advertises in the uk press is Urbano at Ostend--Belgium is popular with UK buyers cos it is near & English is widely spoken--you will get cheaper probabley in Germany & certainly Spain & Portugal---

thanks for your help. just in case you know what would be the best makes to go for? looked into an eldis (which I believe is a UK make here so dont know whether would be any cheaper in belgium) which was quite good.

Hi Nat-you wont get uk makes on the continent apart from Swift I think--dont know what your price range is but go for popular makes such as Hymer, Rapido, Pilote, Burstner, Hobby,etc---as long as you stick to popular models that resell easily--condition & milage relative to price are more important than actual make--
