because we are also planning on using our motorhome to go up to the mountains in the winter etc are there any worth recommending that enable you to have stability on snow rather than put on winter chains? or are snow tyres sufficient?
i think that taking all precautions such a shovel gravel and that sort of equipment would be a better idea, and maybe a 12v winch just in case, i would have thought that water and gas could be a problem as they can freeze overnight so consider where to put those check out with tyre fitters to see what they recommend for that
yes theres loads of defenders that have been converted but youd be surprised if i told you they arent any good in the snow!!! great in mud but all over the place on snow and ice and bloody coldddddddddddddd!
so far as I know the Renault trafic comes in a four wheel drive as well as two wheel. Thats the basic van though, I don't know if any have ever been converted. I suppose the big firms wouldn't bother. Maybe a small a specialist firm has done some.
