Assuming the water sensor is an earth return type have you checked for a voltage on one terminal at the plug on to the sensor. If you do not have one trace these leads, one should go to earth the other to a supply. If voltage is present connevt the two leads together and the guage should read maximun if all is OK. If this is the case you have a faulty sensor in the tank. If there is still no reading connect the supply lead to a known good earth, if the guage now reads full reamke the earth connection to the tank. Hope this helps if you are concerned about shorting these connections probably best consult a qualified auto electrician first.

Hi Evo, in several cases the indicators only show when then the frewsh water or waste water tanks are virtually full. Once the levels go down a bit ( that's a technical term ) the meter no longer reads anything. This is quite normal IMO.

Phil.

check the floor inside your van above the tank, you may find a removable section to give access to your tank sender unit.
