I've tried all the black streak remover products & not had much joy with them. Ths morning however I was taking some light scratches out with 'Turtle Wax metalic T cut', when I tried it on the black streaks, it took them straight off first wipe, no rubbing at all. I have used it on all the streaks, it has not damaged the surface at all, I then used autoglym to polish & coat the area's so it is easier to clean next time. I don't think you can stop it.
The metalic T cut is a lot less abrasive than normal T cut.
Thanks Mark, i've solved my water tank problems for now, so there will be no more sequels, unless I have anymore problems with it, if I do the i'll entitle the topic 'Return of the Water Tank' stay tuned.
I spent ages cleaning mine off and spent a night out in monsson like rain conditions and awoke to find more black streaks. Why doesnt someone make white rubber seals?
Fenwicks do a black streak remover and a protective coating called Bobby Dazzler which apparently stops them coming back. They also sell horse shampoo and I cant help wondering what would happen if you mixed the black streak remover with the shampoo and tried it on a zebra?
