We have just insured our 1 year old Swift Kontiki motorhome through Comfort Insurance and was well pleased until I saw your quote! Lol. We have got full RAC breakdown cover for the UK, Europe and a few other non European countries with the Comfort Insurance policy and they have also included our Bantam trailer for towing our smart car in with the premium. Also, we are covered to travel for an unlimited period during the 12 months policy term in Europe and a few other countries outside of the EU and we found out from ringing around several Insurers that not all Insurance companies are willing to cover you for certain countries. We are touring Morocco this winter and Comfort will cover Morocco subject to us applying for a green card from them and you apply for this once you know your travel dates etc ( a lot of insurers would not actually insure us for Morocco) We paid £402.76 for this policy but taking everything into account it was the best one for us. I did shop around and it was the best quote for what we needed. We were insured previously with CIS and they were considerably cheaper but when we actually looked at what cover we actually had it was by no means adequate for our needs - we realised when we looked into it that CIS did not cover a lot of our accessories and camping equipment etc. I think you are best choosing an insurer who specialises in caravans and motorhomes because they cover all the extras like calor gas bottles, generators, fold up chairs, and awnings etc where CIS are just a general car insurance company and do not specialise in this type of insurance policy.

I have not heard of CaravanWise before but I will certainly get a quote from them when our present Insurance is due for renewal that's for sure.
