 Hi fellow snailers,

I hope this is coming up on the motorhomes message board, I tried incompetantly twice before and just posted it on caravans.

Does anyone know where I can get a piece of Aluminium extrusion trim for our 1990 Autotrail Chinook it covers the external right-angle on the front of the coachbuilt luton and measures 25mm x  21mm x 650mm and there is a black plastic capping strip which covers the screw-heads. The old one met an unhappy end on an overhanging branch, we have fixed the luton but need the cover strip to finish the job.

On a different subject I have looked thro the previous correspondence on winter  covers .Does anyone have any further advice on covers they are pleased with or would never buy again?

                        Happy camping                                                                                                                         the Sherpards

Hi,

Thanks Bill, I will give Alrod a try. The real problem is that I only need a 650mm length and much as I love Tex, the finances won't stretch to getting an extrusion fabricated when a simple bit of 25mm right angle would do the job, even if it didn't quite match. My local repairer could get a pack of matching extrusion but it would cost £80-£100 and I would have 50 times more than I need, unless I hit a few more trees.
