Hi,
Well done and congratulations.
I'm sure you will keep discovering new things about your motorhome for quite a while to come, and that is all part of the fun. The only down-side (if you can call it that) is realising that you never seem to stop buying more things to put inside, but then even that is fun. It's funny how you can get all excited about levelling ramps and invertors!!
Once you've been out in it a few times you'll soon become an addict.... we all do.
Don't worry too much about all the little switches and things, they soon become second nature... you'll soon be flicking, switching, plugging and connecting like a pro...lol
Anyway, just get out there and get stuck in. Life is a learning curve and when it comes to motorhomes, learning is a lot of fun.
All the best
Phil

Hi Sonesta,
Perhaps we should start a new thread entitled "silliest thing you got excited about"
My better half shook her head in amazement when I was grinning like a cheshire cat because I had just purchased an "Ace new funnel, look, it's got a really big bowl with a lip to stop water sloshing out everywhere, and a long flexible spout"!
How sad am I? Answers on a postcard please...lol

Not sad in my opinion - just really passionate about your motor home. But then again you know what they say about little things pleasing little minds -so guess we must have little brains then Phil. Doesn't take a lot to please us though does it?

Hello Pat, and welcome to UKCS - where you will now spend many hours!!
I know what you mean about erecting a folding camper - I have a Dandy and found it hard enough WITH my 14 year old son to erect, I know other people find them easy to put up, but I don't! find it really heavy. Anyway I have kept my little campervan and must say I love it. My son will probably not want to come with me for very much longer, he's 14, so I'll probably be leaving him with his older brother and my husband, who won't camp - although to be fair he does work at week-ends.
As it is I go to the meets with my son and we have a great time, there are quite a few of us who do it without partners for one reason or another.
I don't find it too much of a hassle to go off site with the van, I have a utility tent which I leave stuff in like chairs, table etc. so it's just a matter of unhooking the EHU and remembering to turn off the gas. As Bambi is small I can usually park in ordinary car parks, unless they have a low height barrier.
Hope to see you at a meet sometime, in the meantime keep an eye on ebay for campervan bargains, not necessarily recommending that you buy one off ebay but you can get a good idea of the layouts etc. from the pics peeps put up.
Debbym
