Hi, we are Jill, Chris & Lucy(4), motorhome newbies. We've moved up from trailer-tenting, which we loved, for the ease of arriving wherever and just floppin' out! Really enjoy being able to pick youngster up from school on Friday tea and head off. Don't even really have to bother what the weathers doing.
Having tented, bivved, caravanned & tt'd in all weathers, its like stayin in a hotel. Look forward to meeting you at the "meets". We enjoyed our first one at Settle on bonfire weekend.
We are the same as you but have gone from a tent to a camper. Had her compression tested the other day (only bought her a month ago) and have found out a few things about her 1) we bidded for her on ebay and won under the understanding that she was a 1.6 but have found out that she is in fact a 2L (which is a real bargain as we only paid 1220 for her), 2) she has full electrics 3) she ?has had a new engine and 4) all components work in her. Can't wait til she is fixed and just get in and go. The OH wanted to get rid of her when we found out she had something wrong with her engine but i wanted to hang on and have her checked and i'm so glad i did (and so is the OH!)!!!!!!! So roll on next yr and us being able to just get in and go - have booked for 3 meets so far and well my only advice can be GET BOOKED as its a great laugh and plenty of things for the kids to do
Welcome and enjoy this addictive site (i called my OH an anorac when first joined but now im hooked lol)
Hope to see you at a meet some time
take care and have a happy christmas and a good new yr
