Anyone own an elddis Autostratus 2000 ? Any opinions on them would be helpfull as we are debating buying one in the next few weeks.Been to see it and have a test drive booked .
We have an '01 Autostratus EB, the 6 berth one with u shape lounge. Payload, as with any big coachbuilt isn't great, but if you reduce the junk & only carry the necessary stuff you'll be fine. Our's has the 2.8HDI motor, very torqey, returns about 25mpg. Don't forget to haggle for some accessories!!
Thanks everyone I think the payload is about the same creaky... we would just have to watch what we take there us only the two of us but things do gather up lol.Going for a test drive on sunday and yes will be getting some extras new free standing awning and full year tax and waranty there a loads of extras on the van anyway like revrsing cam /fan light/aerial/roof boxes( 2 )/ bike rack/tow bar/cd player/ the fiamma is built in to the side of the van.plenty floor space inside and upholstery in good condition so we will see sunday what we think of it on the road !
Ive just bought a 2000 model Autostratus 2.5TD seems to move fairly well.
most of the appliances work well on all 3 modes, one thing i cannot fathom is the little clips inside the cabinet above the internal housing for the gas bottle area, im not sure what they could be used for? i would have though some wine bottle holdrs would be a better option.
Hi Boingfc. You’ve just joined UKCS, I see - welcome.
You’ve added a question to a thread that died in 2006. You’d be better posting a new thread just about the clips as I’m not sure you’ll be swamped with ideas here. Our Autosleeper Clubman didn’t have them, yours may have been added by a previous owner to hold the fresh water pipe or some such.
