The best thing to do is ask when booking onto a site as different sites have different rules as to where dogs are allowed. I know of 2 sites but not in N/W - one is Bainland in Lincolnshire which has an under cover bit where u can sit with the dogs and another is Rivendale in Derbyshire they have a little pub on site and allow dogs.

Dont be fooled when sites say 'dogs welcome' because what most sites mean is u can bring your dog but they arent allowed anywhere apart from round your unit and on the dog walking areas.
Always assuming there is something else of course!
You find that most pubs allow dogs (as long as theyre well behaved) and dont sell food.
In the past 5 years or so we've found a few in Devon which I found on the doggypubs site mentioned above, a couple in Ambleside in the Lakes and a couple in Beddgelert. Very, very few allow dogs now - most of them serve food and will allow children in - it's all a matter of making money these days and unfortunately those of us who want to pop in for a pint or two don't fill the coffers any longer.
Just bite the bullet and ask afterall if they say no then they lose your custom (we have 2 dogs and they love the camping life style too)!!!!!!
There's always someone with children and money to spend who will take your place, so don't run away with the idea that you're getting them where it hurts most.
Sorry, Eviledna, I'm not trying to be argumentative, it's just that, over the last few years, we've found things to be very un-dog friendly, especially in pubs, which used to be the nice quiet place you could amble down to with your dog, have a nice quiet drink and amble back. Publicans would rather let children in - they know they'll be able to sell four or five meals plus drinks and make a few bob, rather than just sell a couple of pints. They've lost their way recently and forgotten what a "public house" is all about.
