Can anyone give me a rough idea on the hieght  of a V.W. Baywindow van with Devon roof

Need a reply within the next hour -( all sounds very mysterious to me)

Can only tell you that a Hi-top is 7'10"!

Yes fitted in ok after we had taken the garage door lock off. It already had flat tyres!

Do u know where he might get some spares for a Bay window type VW & is it necessary to do an engine conversion for unleaded if it needs it ( any ideas on how u can tell

All VWs will run quite happily on unleaded without conversion.

Spares from Just Kampers, who have a very good tech section on the website.

VW heritage is also a great place to get spares, if you ring someone like vw heritage with the engine number they can often tell you, its best to check as yes they will run on unleaded but without conversion the engine can wear badly.

If it's a twin port it will definitely run on unleaded and all bays since 1970 are twins.  Germany has had unleaded since the '70's.

Engine numbers won't tell you anything as it's the heads that are effected not the block and the chances are the heads have been replaced several times on a 30 year old vehicle.
