Hi all, more advice needed.

We tested the motorhome in feb and had a lovely four days, but after waking up the next morning we found the mattress in the overhead cab soaking from where it was touching the front of the cab.

On the second night we left the vent open and slept on the sofa so the cab dried out completely, I am worried though this will happen with the bunks in the rear of the van as well.

How do you stop the mattresses getting wet with condensation when winter camping?, we had a fire running on low and the kitchen vent open.

I look forward to your help!

We had wondered about pinching an idea from our previous caravan - to replace the mattresses with 6 inch foam slightly smaller and to put a board with a small baton behind it on the wall - like the newer caravans have.

So what do you all think I should do?

We have a motorhome with overhead cab and have never had this problem.  We did have slight condensation on the inside of the cab window but now leave it open to the first notch - less than 1 cm.  I'm sure someone will be able to offer you advice tho'

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
