Hi

I'm doing the France thing this summer, two weeks down the west coast in mt T25, which I can't wait for. One thing I want to sort out is a canopy to project out over the door side to give protection from the sun and to kep it a bit cool inside.

However, all the awnings I see are closed in and a bit expensive and the Fiamma type of canopy again seems a expensive for what I want.

Can anyone suggest somewhere I might find a cheap simple canopy or alternatively if anyone has an ingenious way for making my own, I'd much prefer to do this really, so please suggest awy.

We bought ours from

It was custom made in maroon to match our type 2 bus.  Fixes easily with 3 clamps to our gutter.  Excellent piece of kit which does the job perfectly and is also good in rainy weather too - although it says it is only showerproof!!  Also like the fact that it packs easily into the holdall so I don't have to waste precious time swearing and cursing about my pack job!!
