Hi there everyone....just had my 14yr old t25 around the Isle of Skye and elsewhere in Scotland over Easter. Im a newbie to all this....first thing I noticed was the high petrol consumption ( for 900 miles spent about £200)
what is the single most important item/gadget....useful thing that you would take with you in a small camper pop top on a two month trip round Europe in the summer?
Tongue in cheek suggestion ,so apologies...
But how about a diesel engine? My 22yr old hi-top (extra wind resistance) T25 does just over 400 miles on a full tank. A full tank is costing me approx €50 (approx £35). 900 miles would be 2 tanks and a bit, so lets say €110, which is about £75 sterling in total. Which, even if my currency conversion is a little out, and Irish diesel prices a little cheaper, is nowhere near £200 (€286). I'm running a 1.6D engine. According to calculations I do everytime I fill up I'm getting approx 37 mpg. As I said its a tongue in cheek suggestion, but something worth considering in the future maybe?
Bedding wise, we take 2 summer weight duvets. With very little persuasion they will wrap up into small packages, and each one with fit into an everyday carrier bag. We find 2 summer weight duvets takes up less room than a deep filled winter duvet, and provides the same warmth.
Good luck with your trip! Will you blog it?
