Hi there

Am considering a motorholme - just considering!

It will be for one person with three dogs - so nothing huge.

Need to have a look round somewhere where there is lots of choice on second hand vans as I want to be able to see first hand on layout etc.

Anyone know of good dealers with lots of choice in the West Yorks/East Lancs areas - centering on Burnley/Halifax areas - but willing to travel.

I spent an enjoyable few hours up at Marquis in Preston a couple of weeks ago - quite a lot of choice and supportive staff but without any hardsell.

A bit out of your way but we zipped there from Sheffield in a couple of hours.

Richard Baldwins in Halifax have  a varied selection of clean used models. We have been a couple of times there.

Todds in Preston probably have a few more used vans, sometimes up to 30, and are indoors too so they are all unlocked for you to browse at leisure.  

Emm-Bee in Bury have a good stock too, some at the cheaper end too. We bought our van there, as they are honest enough with friendly service. Not as polished and smarmy as the bigger dealers too - which may or not suit you !

Re Jana's suggestions - went to Richard Baldwins the other day as he seemed to have a lot of used vans in the past - from what I could see in passing - but now they all seem newish, if not new and all of a similar type - all seemed to be around the 30K mark - which is way above what I want to pay.

Might try the Emm-Bee suggestion as it sounds more my sort of set up. At the moment am just wanting to get an idea of what type of van would suit me and what prices they go for.
