Hi all!

I wonder if any one can help!  My partner and I have been looking for a 2nd hand adapted motor home (or caravan) for a wheelchair user but without success! My partner is paraplegic.

New motor home is out of the question, which leaves purchasing one and adapting it ourselves.

Has anyone else done this?  Can you offer any advise?  We'd love to hear from anyone who can help!

Did you know if you buy new you don't pay VAT if your in a wheel chair? So would be a bit cheaper.

Might be worth contacting drivelodge and seeing if they ever get 2nd hand ones in.

Hi Nomates ...... welcome to Ukcampsite ....... I know the chap we got our big motorhome from had fixed a tow bar, to tow a caravan for his daughter, who has a wheelchair ...... will try and find out for you

Just an idea, what about an ex-ambulance with a chair lift already fitted and then converting it to a motorhome? Trouble may be finding one that is local and acceptable to yourself.
