many thanks mike
hi sorry to revisit with a question but i need help with 87 type 25 petrol on the way home from our holls the water temp gauge failed ie first read to cold then nothing i had a new sender fitted and got the van back with an air lock in the cooling system and the gauge reading 3/4 across. got the air lock sorted at the garage but was told the gauge was probaly reading high because it was new (funny i thought you bought new things so they worked properly. any way to cut a long story short after new thermostat and temp sender for the electric fan, the needle still goes nearly 3/4 across then after 1.5miles seams to rest just of the right hand side of the red light, is this in you opinion ok, i have had a 2.1injection a 1.6 diesel and two of these 1915cc petrols and the needle has allways been on the red light (the red light is off) hope somebody can advise me many thanks mike
