We have an NR Motor Villa. Our previous MH was a Fiat Ducato Compass Drifter 410LE & the Motor Villa free standing, simply clipped onto the "J" rail. Now we have the Autosleeper Executive SE, & the awning has to be a true "free standing" awning, as a "J" rail can't be fitted. The section that formed the verandah is now simply folded back over the top of the awning. Also we can now site it in any position, depending on the circumstances we find ourselves in.

Hi JudeNJen

Definitely try NR awnings, we have a Fiat Ducato 181g, we travel and show dogs, so wanted a large awning that would cover the garage door as well so the dogs could go in and out

We contacted Mr Warwick at NR

We bought a 17ft standard caravan awning, with a freestanding frame and they made panels so we could zip it up and drive away

We have just had a standard caravan rail put on the MH so we can also have the option when we know we are not going to want to move off site

My husband and sons are spending 3 weeks touring France, and will not want to keep moving, and will be able to travel lighter

Hope this helps

Angie

It seems pretty sturdy and would stay up without be pegged. Certainly much better then a gazebo.

The Kyham Screenhouse is a really good drive away job but dosent attach to the MH/Caravan, but its dead easy and rapid to put up and cant stand very bad weather.

We have just bought a Movilight Driveaway Awning (see offers) that fits on the back of our Romahome Outlook.  It appears well constructed and is very easy to put up. It took about 20 minutes the first time on a nice dry still day.   With careful positioning it is a good fit on the back of the van. Very easy to detach from the van and leave securely zipped up on site. The big plus is having a covered area which increases the day space and provides storage.  It would only be suitable for a small van with rear access.

we have just bought a Romahome Outlook which is 7' 6" high is yours the same height and what model did you buy. from the pictures I could not see how it fitted to the back of the Outlook. We have a sly light above the kitchen area so would this also be a problem

Margaret
