Has anyone got one ? how much should i be expecting to pay for an 86 one ?

What should i look out for ? any common problems ?

Can't beleive it you actually going for a motorhome! thought you were hardened campers!! can't help with you question though! we are just looking at the ads in MMM monthly and dreaming!!!

oooooh we are diehard campers ,but have always been going to convert a van to go away in winter ,just we never seemed to have the time or the room ,so have decided to get a 'fixer upper' instead and just really like the shape of these ,and not too big so will fit on the drive!

Still camp through spring summer tho !! couldnt imagine being shut in a stuffy old camper then

One common problem on the Expess is they tend to drop 5th gear. It can be repaired without the box coming out,but the parts are not cheap.Also they tend to rust very easily. !!

Hi i got a talbot express 1994 one had it nearly a year now not had eny problems at all with it its great. just for 2 of us I paid around 10 grand its in good condition. Don + Eieen been to holand no problems

we got a talbot express for 3 grand, see gallery, it is a beauty,needs a bit touch up here and there, but inside and underneath is solid!!!

mind you got it from tyne valley motorhomes, who were brilliant with us, had to put it through mot before we bought it, so all major work done,

so next time you get the chance BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!

An 86 vehicle is 20 years old. In 5 years time it would be free of road tax as it would be considered a vintage vehicle I think.

Price would depend on condition which depends on many factors. Spare parts could be difficult and service expensive. I know and heard of several conversions and coachbuilts that had questionable chassis so I would stay well clear.

Its me again. got to Holand No problem at all, with van had a good time 800 miles and i didnt have to top up the oil.

then at easter toured scotland 1600 miles . no problem again just one Ltr of oil thats not bad. now I nead a near toilet as my old one has had its days too old .
