Hi does anyone have the berlin or hamburg awning from justkampers? We are thinking of getting one for our t25 to use for weekends. How long do they take to put up? What is the quality like? I notice they have reduced them because some have had slight faults. Anyone had this problem?

Jacquie

Someone on here does have one.  Can't remember who though.  Sorry.  I saw that offer and it looks like it's worth the risk as only a few are damaged, so you may get one that's perfect anyway.

Have you tried searching/asking on the JK chat forum http://www.justkampers.co.uk/shop/camping.html  Or on club 80-90 chat forum http://www.club80-90.co.uk/forum/index.php .  There's bound to be people on there that have them and can help.

cheers.  Julie.

German ebay!  Cost about £156 including postage.  You should be able to see it on the link below.  It doesn't have a ground sheet or inner tent (they sell those separately).  Our kids sleep in a £7.97 2 man tent from Tesco inside the awning, which gives more flexibility on where it can be positioned.

I really liked the look of the JK ones, because they run alongside the van and also because they have the bigger inner tent you can leave all your gear in there out of the way.  What put me off was the sloping ends of them. So you lose some of the standing height.

The one I bought is a tunnel style the same as this one currently on ebay  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKANDIKA-Bus-Vorzelt-XXL-Camping-Zelt-Vans-SUV-NEU-OVP_W0QQitemZ190007650411QQihZ009QQcategoryZ49766QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemso you get the full height of the awning right to the end and the end wall can be moved in.  I thought this might be good if it rains to have a bit of shelter whilst cooking.  That's the one thing I didn't like on our previous tents,  even though the door flaps could go up on poles to cook under it left the inside of the tent open to the elements.  I thought it would probably be the same with the JK ones.  There are pros & cons to every one.  I like the Reimo ones, but price put me off.

Our van is a Caravelle so was originally a bus rather than a camper, so it doesn't currently have a cooker fitted inside.  Obviously if you cook in the van this wouldn't be a consideration for you anyway.

Anyway wittered on enough. Cheers.  Julie

ours is a caravelle too. we have taken two rows of seats and just planned to use it to carry all of our camping gear. but other half would like to convert it, mainly for weekend use with an awning(we have 3 kids) and save the tent for longer stays.

Can't get your link to work. but have seen some i like on world of camping.

Yes, is 100acrewood who has this awning, but I think they're away on holiday at the moment. It looks a good awning from what I have seen on the meets.

I actually do have the Berlin awning and am just thinking of selling it.  We've had it one year and used it about 15 times.  It's in good condition.  I was thinking of somewehre in the region of £175.

Let me know if you might still be interested 07989 976 010 or 01208 880 662

Cheers

Nigel

I used to have the Frame one from JK called the Munich, much prefered it to the previous tunnel one, even though it took more space in the van

I have a Hamburg awning for sale 07717712272

Its a year old but never really used... I tried to put it up on my own once and found its a two person job really... I am selling as I want to buy a sun shade rather than an awning as this would suite my needs better.., I have just checked through all the bits for the awning and they are all there.. pegs, ground sheet, bedroom compartment etc.. I am happy to accept offers on this awning. I am in the Hampshire and Berkshire area.

Kind regards,

Simon...
